Our focus this semester will be modernity.
OK, so, what is "modernity?"What
do we understand under this concept?
To begin our investigation, we will examine key terms that will frame our course, work, and discussions:
- modern
- modernity
- modernism
- paradigm shift
To illustrate this futher, we will talk about the images he images below. They stem from the period we're talking about, the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. To help orient ourselves in this field, we will discuss each as an expression of society, mores, and reality during this turbulent time.
